Elliot Endeavours to End Duchenne!
Meet Elliot, the little ball of sunshine who never seems to run out of smiles. He's the kind of kid who wakes up with a smile and goes to bed with a grin. Elliot's dance moves are so smooth, he could give Michael Jackson a run for his money. He's a social butterfly who loves to be the life of the party, cracking jokes and making everyone laugh. If you need a pick-me-up, just spend a few minutes with Elliot, and you'll be grinning from ear to ear.

Introducing Elliot, the adorable club mascot from Glan Llyn! Our under 5 superstars teams proudly participate in the Little Tiddler's Cup every Saturday morning. We are committed to Elliot's charity, Elliot's Endeavours to End Duchenne, and all profits raised go towards this important cause. Join us in making a difference and supporting our little champion!
Elliot's Endeavours To End Duchenne
Elliot has a rare genetic condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This means he cannot produce a protein called Dystrophin which is vital for healthy muscle growth. Without dystrophin his muscle cells cannot regenerate and will slowly waste away. There is no cure or treatment available at present for this condition.
Elliot has to endure a lot for a small boy. He has regular visits to hospital where he often has to give blood samples and is wired up to many machines, he has monthly visits to Newcastle to have infusions which includes a whole day in hospital and late night travelling, he has A LOT of injections, is on daily medication (which include side effects) and has to do some pretty uncomfortable physiotherapy sessions every single day. All whilst trying to live a normal life of being a child and keeping up with school-work.
Despite all of this, Elliot is a happy little boy, who never complains and loves nothing more than playing with friends and being in the company of others. He shows us every day that strength is more than muscles.
We are so proud of Elliot and will continue to keep fighting to give him the best quality of life that we can.
